CIAMPOLI PALACE - Palazzo Ciampoli

Ciampoli Palace was the residence of Ciampoli family and was erected in 1412, as carved on the coat of arms upon the entrance door. The palace is located in the heart of the medieval village of Taormina. Until a few years ago the Palace hosted one of Taormina’s most famous nightclubs. The existence of two equal coats of arms, the shield with the flag and the three stars shield, both in Palazzo Ciampoli and Palazzo Corvaja, suggests that the palace belonged to the Corvaja family before passing to the Ciampoli. The Ciampoli Palace only displays its main front, that rests on a large and steep staircase.
